Public Health CSR Cell
The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Cell of the Public Health Department, Government of Maharashtra, has been established to serve as the nodal platform for facilitating, coordinating, and monitoring CSR initiatives in the health sector across the State.
The Maha Public Health CSR Cell aims to bridge the gap between corporate initiatives and public health priorities, ensuring that CSR funds are channelled towards impactful, sustainable, and scalable health projects that complement the Government’s vision of accessible, equitable, and quality healthcare for all.
Acting as a single-window facilitation system, the Cell enables Corporates, Foundations, NGOS, and philanthropic organizations to identify, plan, and implement CSR projects in collaboration with health institutions, district authorities, and accredited implementing agencies.
Through this platform, the Maha Public Health CSR Cell seeks to:
- Align CSR investments with State and national health priorities,
- Promote transparency and accountability in CSR project implementation,
- Encourage innovation and partnership models in public health delivery, and
- Enhance health outcomes for vulnerable and underserved communities.
The Maha Public Health CSR Cell also serves as a knowledge and coordination hub, providing guidance, policy clarity, and technical support to stakeholders. It facilitates due diligence; monitors progress and disseminates best practices to ensure that CSR interventions yield measurable and lasting social impact. In essence, the Maha Public Health CSR Cell stands as a catalyst for collaborative health development, connecting the corporate sector’s social responsibility with the State’s mission to achieve universal health and well-being.
The Government of Maharashtra has developed the CSR Portal as a one-stop digital platform for all stakeholders involved in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities across the State.
The portal enables corporates, implementing agencies, and other stakeholders to engage, collaborate, and contribute effectively towards meaningful CSR initiatives in Maharashtra. It also allows end users to provide feedback, explore projects for investment, and interact with the CSR ecosystem.
